In today's blog, I am sharing 5 skills that will help you tremendously in your life if you are a Business owner. Thanks for tuning into my podcast. I have a lot of gifts for you. Make sure you listen to this entire podcast.

Doesn't matter if you own a small or big business. Every big business was small at one point in time. But they were looking to themselves as a big player. The question is, what are the 5 things that are free and will make you shine in a crowded marketplace? I have designed this series of blogs and podcasts for people who are doing small businesses. We call it a Home-Based Business. This includes tutors, coaches, LIC agents, Tax consultants, Network Marketing professionals, or ladies who are doing Home-based food businesses or Entrepreneurs.

The first thing we all small business owners and people who are operating businesses from home need to understand is we all are a one-man show. I am considering myself in your category as well because I am also helping people to understand the blogging industry and its benefits. I am handling this business from my home while working in my manufacturing company. Yes, I have an added benefit here because I am the 2nd generation businessman in our family for a manufacturing business. But I took a step into a completely new world and in a few months, I started doing well in my new business as well. So I felt like sharing my tricks and tips with all of you. And before starting if you missed our last podcast on why I recommend blogging in 2022 just click here. Why Blogging anymore? - MazaVyapar And now let's get started.

There are a lot of people doing the same business when it comes to Home-based business. So customers will get attracted to you only if you are shining in the crowd. This thing is also known as being an elephant in the room. Consider in a room of 100 people if you put an elephant in any corner nobody will be able to ignore that big thing. Someone will talk good things someone may criticize but that Elephant is going to grab the attention of every single person in that room.

So here are my 5 suggestions to you that can help you shine in your marketplace.

1. Smile

The best thing about a smile is, that it makes any difficult situation feel simple. And I have observed this multiple times. When I smile while looking at everyone or if I crack any joke to make other person smile. Immediately that person loses his guards. It feels like before a smile this person was holding a shield or something. Like Captain America. But once we smile together. I can clearly see him keeping his shield aside and talking to me in a more friendly way. So the first thing to learn is to smile always.

2. Good Photography

You all have heard about this phrase, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Understand the deep meaning of this sentence. Every single picture you put on social media or you click, is a blog of thousand words. This picture tells a lot of things about you without even talking. So be careful before posting any picture. So a simple trick when you are using a mobile camera or any professional camera, learn the basic skills of photography or just hire a photographer with excellent skills. Don't try to do everything on your own. In my case, I am improving my camera skills and I am also taking the help of professionals as well. You will get to know about this in our upcoming projects. One of the Photo studios in my city Aurangabad named Photo Park Studio is the best place to learn Photography. If you want to click some photographs or make a youtube video or if you want to create a portfolio Photo Park Studio is a one-stop solution. Go and check their website. Photo Park Studio

3. Linktree

Many creators take the help of social media to convey their message or brand. This is good. One must always use social media to promote their business but the thing is, it's been done by everyone. And as I said earlier you are a part of Home-Based-Business where you have 1000s of competitors like you. How can you shine if you are doing the same thing everyone else does? The answer is by simply creating a website you can differentiate yourself. But your next thought might be Ajinkya I am not that technical to create my website or I don't want to put a few thousand into creating a website. Simply go and check a free tool called Linktree. This tool helps you showcase your product or services on one page. It's everything you are in one simple link. Just like a website. And if you need any help in learning this tool I have a gift for you. Simply go to mazavyapar.com and click on free training. You will get Linktree training completely free. Just register and learn. 4. Collecting 1 testimony in a week.

In today's world of social media, it is more important to have a testimony page than your company page. People are continuously looking for social proof before buying anything. Ask yourself before buying anything from amazon do you check the review at the bottom? Why do you check? The reason is that you need social proof before buying anything. If you look for the meaning of testimony then it is "Public recounting of experience." So give a platform for your customer to post reviews about their experience. If you don't have a website or place to collect reviews then create one using these free tools.

There are multiple ways to collect testimony.

  1. Trustpilot
  2. Screenshot
  3. Google review

The first tool which I use most of the time is Trustpilot. Just go to trustpilot.com and search for mazavyapar. You will get a lot of reviews from our happy customers or community members. And if you have experienced any of our services I request you to go to Trustpilot and write down your amazing review. Grateful to have you as one of my listeners. The second simplest tool is to click a screenshot when someone replies to you over the message. You can just remove that person's name and publish it everywhere. This is the most commonly used way of collecting testimony. And the third one is the most popular one which is google reviews. Just go on google and search how to collect reviews. So if you start collecting 1 testimony in a week then also it will give you great results in long run. Don't tell me I am so busy that I can't collect 1 testimony of my business. Take out time because this skill is going to make you shine in your marketplace.

5. Canva

We are Indians and we all have a list of festivals and events on our calendars. Every single event comes up with an opportunity to promote your business. But How you are going to create social media posts? It's the simplest thing today if you know how to use a tool canva. If you want to learn anything about canva you can simply go to our free training. Canva Training for free. One more gift from me.

Conclusion

Competition is the most common word you could have listened to when it comes to getting into the business. But I feel why compete? As you are one of Mazavyapar's listeners let me help you with it. You need to change your mindset if you want to shine in a similar marketplace. Just change your mindset from being number one to only one. And see the magic.
